Cycles
The present hydrographic works include far more than 1000 single images that are grouped into various cycles. Other cycles are in progress.
CAPRICCI
The first developed Hydrographies show the manifold possibilities of this technique with stunning results. The originality of the first hydrographic images, the development of which was the result of mere serendipity, is reflected in landscapes, figurative compositions and textures.
ODYSSEY
As a logical further development in ODYSSEY the multitude of single images is arranged as a multimedia visual epic. In thirteen chapters the odyssey of Ulysses is told as a metaphor for human existence in the rhythm of day and night recurrently alternating.
CYCLUS CEREALIS
CYCLUS CEREALIS is named after the Roman goddess Ceres, goddess of fertility and agriculture. The images lead back to the beginnings of genesis, when evolution was nascent and subject to perpetual metamorphoses. CYCLUS CEREALIS shows the world in it’s primitive state, in which human spirit leaves it’s archaic marks as part of divine providence.
PICTURES AT AN EXHIBITION
Base is the phantastic composition of Modest Mussorgsky, that was inspired by the pictures of the painter Viktor Hartmann. With an overall genre synaesthetic view in mind, the return of Mussorgsky’s bizarre sound impressions into an audio-visual experience was a great challenge. Following Mussorgsky’s musical theme of the "promenade" the beholder is passing through an abysmal world full of tragedy and comedy, between vitality and symbols of death.
